Short N' Sweet Like Me!!

Alrighty then, I know it's been a while, but I've been quite busy getting ready for IYC and it's finally here! I leave today for Detroit and my kids are getting so pumped for this. Please pray for each of them and both leaders. There are seven kids and two leaders going this time, and we're all feeling pretty good about what's about to happen. I know that God is going to move in some phenominal ways this week, and I know that we are going to feel a wave of His glory because there is definately more than 2 gathered together...try 5,000!! Yeah, baby!! Any who, please hold us up in prayer, we'll pray for you, and God bless!!!

I Caught You a Delicious Bass

Wow, much time has passed by since my last entry. I don't even know where to begin, but I'm sure I will figure something out. Did you miss me? You don't have to answer that if you don't want :o).

First off, God is good and guides in all situations. Right now I'm working hard on getting all the last minute stuff done for IYC that's in 2 weeks from now. My teens and I have a 2 day fundraiser that we are working on for this weekend. It's a rummage sale, and I believe we are going to get the last bit of money that we need. It's an answer to prayer.

Another thing that has happened since my last entry was a good friend passed away. He hung himself and his wife found him on a Sunday morning. It was a very sad and close experience. My church conference has not been the same, but I believe God has been working very hard to make us all aware of different things so that the church doesn't fall apart. Many hearts have been broken, so much depression has engulfed hearts, but God is the god of comfort and He's pulling us through.

Family camp as well as 2 teen camps and a children's camp has also happened and many children gave their lives to Christ for the first time. That was amazing. I was so excited God let me be a part of it all. Family camp had an amazing Evangelist that God used to help unite my church a little more. I saw people who despised one another hug and laugh together for the first time in a long time. God is so good.

Something else that has been going on is that one of my youth pastor friends has been trying to set me and another youth pastor friend up. We've been friends for 6 years, since college, and she saw us together and thought that we would be perfect for one another. How funny is that? Well, we've been playing it up all the way because we are close friends. It's been a highlight in my busy life, and I'm so thankful. Again, God is good, and I'm so glad that Phil and Machelle are in my life.

I feel like a lot of my writing today is just factual happenings without emotion. I'm just jotting things down and not really putting the needed emotional effort behind my statements. I am so busy right now, so I guess I'm not that suprised. If you read this and you are one who prays, please pray for me, my youth, and our next big adventure in Ft. Collins Colorado for IYC. I would really appreciate it and I know that they would, too. Alrighty then, God bless and be cool!

Numa Numa Iei

It's such a beautiful morning, wow! I can't believe it because it's actually cooler outside. I love it. I'm hoping it stays like this for most of the afternoon because I can't take much more of this heat. I'm going to move to Alaska if this keeps up. I've always wanted to do that anyway, so it really wouldn't be that huge of a suprise if I actually did it.

There's a song that's been running through my head since Senior Teen Camp and it's called 'Numa Numa', and it's by some Romanian guy who likes techno. Well, some New Jersey teen got a hold of it and decided to create a dance to go along with it and everyone I talk to lately knows about it. Wellspring was doing it constantly, well the guys of the team were, and the kids thought that was the coolest thing. I had to find the dance and see it for myself, and let me tell ya, it's pretty goofy. Now I'm doing the crazy little Numa Numa dance. How funny!!

Another funny thing that happened while up at camp was the Director of Young Teen Camp was working real hard to try to get me and my friend Phil to hook up. She has had it in her mind since this past February that he and I are perfect for eachother, and she won't let up about it. It's pretty cute, and I'm glad that Phil and I are such good friends so none of this feels awkward. We handle this well and we played along while up at camp. Even the campers got into it and they "set us up" and we went on a "date" to the camp candy store together. Yep, very funny stuff.

Any way, I have to go get ready for this new day that the Lord has blessed us with. I have a 10AM appointment with a seamstress and then work. You have a blessed day and bye for now...but not forever.
